this books messed me up. twisted and turned me, had me wondering about the intricacies of whiteness and our relationships— political and personal, to white people and racism. it made me feel dizzy. would love to discuss this with someone. also butler’s ability for understanding historical and geographical era of that time is pretty intense.
I’ve only read Parable of The Sower, which I really liked. But I’ve been hearing about Kindred forever. It’s on my never-ending to-read list.
